The Radical Civic Union (UCR) will carry out this Friday the party elections to define who will lead the National Committee replacing the former governor of Jujuy Gerardo Morales.
The two main candidates To lead the centenary party are the national senator and ally of the former Jujuy president, Martin Lousteauand the governor of Corrientes, Gustavo Valdes.
“The plenary is made up of 106 delegates and until now there is 75 who ask that Martin (Lousteau) is the president of the party”, they confided to the agency Argentine News sources close to the Buenos Aires senator.

In this sense, from the ranks of Lousteau they are confident that they will reach the necessary majority to impose the figure of the leader of Evolución in the elections that will be held tomorrow from 2:00 p.m. at the headquarters of the Committee on Alsina Street. .
Along these lines, close to the legislator they maintain that there is a majority of delegates per province, from the radical youth, Franja Morada and other sectors of the party that will accompany Lousteau’s candidacy and that “work is being done to integrate the minority sectors.”
Besides of support of Morales, Lousteau has the support of the sector that plays with the president of Santa Fe, Maximiliano Pullaro and the president of the UCR block in the Chamber of Deputies, Rodrigo De Loredo.

Now, the party is heading towards a new phase within the framework of the unification that the radical bloc achieved in Deputies at the beginning of this month under the leadership of De Loredo.
The expectation is also maintained regarding what the deputy will do. Facundo Maneswho gave in in the dispute for the presidency of the bloc, but also seeks party renewal.

Beyond the differences, both sides agree that the unity of the party must be maintained going forward, while maintaining the slogan that the UCR must renew itself and seek new alignments.
