Invited at the end of the morning on CNews on January 29, the epidemiologist doctor Martin Blachier spoke regarding the side effects of vaccines once morest Covid-19 by wanting to be reassuring.
Myocardite, péricardite, hypertension, many French people fear some side effects can be vaccine-related once morest Covid-19. To disentangle the true from the false on the subject, doctor Brigitte Milhau invited on January 29 in her show Hello doctor Milhau (CNews), Martin Blachier, emblematic figure of this health crisis. For this one, people need to be reassured in view of the vigilance adopted by the scientific body: “There was a big study that was done where we analyzed the 46 million people who have been vaccinatedwith the different vaccines in France. […] When there is something, we see it extremely fast and the reaction is extremely fast.”

To support his remarks, the epidemiologist took as an example the suspension of the British vaccine AstraZeneca in France, following cases of blood clots forming : “On cardiovascular risks, there was nothing on Pfizer, nothing on Moderna and we found in retrospect a small smile on the AstraZeneca vaccine.” And to convince the doubters: “The idea of saying that there has been under-reporting (Editor’s note: side effects) for vaccines, it’s not true.”
Martin Blachier has repeatedly indicated his aversion to vaccination of young people. The doctor did not mention here side effects that might affect the youngest, but rather a lower risk of contamination for this segment of the population. “The need itkeep the kids quiet!“, he told Gala early January. And to add in this sense:The risk for them is so weak.”
