Gummersbach. 13 young taekwondo competitors from TV Becketal competed in the 2nd International Eschweiler Youth Cup. It was the first full contact competitive tournament after the summer break.
In the team ranking, TV Becketal took ninth place out of 19 participating clubs.
Her opponent had no chance against Mara Schelhas in the final. The fight was quickly ended by a head hit in the knockout system. Alexander Bese was also unstoppable in his first competition; his opponent in the final had no chance.
Valerie Heutzenröder and Sophie Nitschke reached the final with good fights, but then had to admit defeat.
Lias Klein was highly superior to his first opponent, but he was unable to continue this superiority in the second fight.
Grandmaster Bajrush Saliu is proud of the achievements of his athletes and thanks his coaching team and the parents who traveled with him.
Maria Ato, Alexander Bese, Naemi Betke and Mara Schelhas won gold. Valerie Heutzenröder and Sophie Nitschke returned home with a silver medal, Leonie Bese, Lias Klein and Damian Schäfer with bronze.
