It has been cloudy and occasionally light rain during the journey by fast boat from Ålesund to Geiranger.
It is there that Princess Märtha Louise will become a bride tomorrow and give her yes to her chosen one, but first the bridal party will be accommodated at Hotel Union.
On the quay in Geiranger, finely polished vintage cars were ready to transport the bridal party to the hotel. In the second car sat the bride and groom, together with Märtha’s daughters Maud Angelica Behn, Leah Isadora Behn and Emma Tallulah Behn.
When asked by VG about how Geiranger’s bridal party was, a cheerful Märtha replied “fantastic!”.
350 guests
There are a total of 350 guests at the wedding, so some have to take shuttle buses to their respective hotels instead of vintage cars.
After yesterday’s “sexy & cool” party in Ålesund, the couple’s wedding guests enjoyed a good lunch on board boats with views of some of Norway’s most idyllic fjord areas on the way to Geiranger.
The royal couple, the crown prince couple, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, Prince Sverre Magnus and his companion Amalie Giæver Macleod are also in place in Geiranger.
On arrival in Geiranger, they boarded a smaller boat to travel out to meet the king and queen on the Royal Ship.
Beautiful views
With a view of the Unesco-protected Geiranger Fjord, the guests were able to wave to the royal couple on board the Kongeskipet, before a toast was later raised for the bride and groom with a view of the Seven Sisters waterfall.
However, the bride and groom are not saving money, because already tonight the stage is set again for another party, this time with a Latin American theme.
