Marseille: 8 people slightly injured in a spectacular accident – La Provence

It was 6:50 p.m. on Monday, August 19, when a car traveling on the Georges Pompidou promenade (8th), in the direction of Vieux-Port/Pointe Rouge, reportedly hit a vehicle in a parking lot. The collision occurred just before the statue of David. The first vehicle, in which there were 5 people, ended up on its roof.

All occupants were able to get out of the vehicle by themselves. The three people in the parked vehicle were also shaken and able to get out by themselves.

The spectacular accident required traffic to be cut off on part of the Avenue du Prado and mobilized 17 firefighters from the Marseille battalion. However, they only had minor injuries to treat. A witness to the scene, who was shocked, was also taken care of. At 8 p.m. on Monday evening, no hospital transport seemed on the agenda.
