Mars: Curiosity finds “a flower” on Mars

Arrived on Mars in 2012, the Curiosity rover continues its mission despite the presence of Perseverance arrived more recently. Recently, he photographed a rock formation on the Red Planet that looks suspiciously like coral.

Obviously it is not coral, but it is curious to find familiar shapes in the Martian landscape.

This image is from the onboard Mars Hand Lens Imager instrument. The scientists of at NASA compare it to the magnifying glass that geologists take to the field. It is therefore a relatively small formation.

It was through the account of Kevin Gill, famous for processing NASA images, that this “Martian flower” caught our attention. If some see a branch of coral, others will see the explosion of a drop of water once morest a surface that has been frozen in time.

A poetic image, to everyone’s free interpretation for a moment of relaxation and peace in this complicated period.
