Mars.. an image that simulates a human fingerprint

NASA has released a stunning photo of a unique crater on Mars with strange, luminous edges that give it the appearance of a human footprint.
The crater in the image is known as Airy-0, a depression 0.3 miles (0.5 km) wide located within the much larger Airy crater, which is about 27 miles (43.5 km) wide. The image was taken using the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment on NASA’s Mars Exploration Orbiter.
In 1884, astronomers originally chose the larger Airy crater to determine Mars’ prime meridian, the zero degree longitude where east meets west, according to NASA. On Earth, the main meridian is distinguished by the Royal Greenwich Observatory in the United Kingdom, which indicates the border between the eastern and western hemispheres, according to what Russia Today reported.
Airy crater is named after British astronomer Sir George Biddle Erie, who built the telescope at the Royal Greenwich Observatory and who first discovered the huge crater.
Astronomers chose Airy to mark Mars’ main meridian, because it was large enough to be seen by telescopes at the time.
