Enrique Márquez, candidate in the recent presidential elections, formally requested the recusal of the president of the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Caryslia Rodríguez, who was accused of having political ties to the administration of Nicolás Maduro.
“The president of the Electoral Chamber has not hidden her political connections in the past or present, and a judge, a female judge, can hardly dispense justice if she is not impartial.”he explained on Tuesday.
From the headquarters of the TSJ, Márquez told the media that His appeal was received; however, he clarified that he was not given the acknowledgment certificate because he had received the documentation.
Regarding the next steps, he said he does not know what process the Electoral Chamber will carry out after the presentation of his appeal.
The last weekhe called on the CNE authorities to open the ballot boxes as a “legally valid” measure and thus know the exact results of the elections.
“The way to resolve this is there, at the ballot boxes, this is an advantage of our electoral system because we have electronic votes and the physical one of each one inside the boxes”claimed the political leader.
