MARKET REVIEWS. European markets were down on Tuesday morning, following a difficult session in Asia and before the reopening of American markets the day following the bank holiday on Monday.
Stock market indices at 7:30 a.m.
London fell 0.1% at the start of the session in Europe, while Paris lost 0.4% and Frankfurt 0,8%.
In New York, before the markets open, the average Dow Jones industrial stocks slipped 0.2% and the broader index S&P 500 of 0.3%.
In Asia, the Nikkei 225 added 0.3% in Tokyo. The scholarship of Shanghai fell 0.7% and the Hang Seng plunged 2.1% in Hong Kong. Sydney et Seoul lost 0.1%.
On the New York Commodity Exchange, the price of oil dropped 32 cents US to US$85.23 a barrel.
