Markazia – Ford recalls more than 100,000 cars… and the reason?

Ford has issued a recall of some 2020-2022 models of its Corsair, Escape and Maverick hybrid cars due to concerns they might catch fire.

In Gadget reported that the recall affects 100,689 cars in the United States, all of which are equipped with 2.5-liter plug-in hybrid engines.

The car manufacturer said that in the event of an engine failure, affected cars might release a large amount of engine oil and fuel vapor, as both substances might then build up near the car’s ignition sources and cause a fire under the hood or melt components inside.

Ford has indicated that engine failures, which include recalled cars, are caused by separate manufacturing issues, adding that it has not received any reports of injuries or accidents related to the issues that forced it to issue a recall. The automaker has already notified dealers of its decision, and owners are due to be notified by August 8.
Dealers will repair the recalled cars when their owners turn them over.

Last month, Ford recalled 49,000 Mach-E electric vehicles, citing concerns regarding the possibility of overheating of the high-voltage battery connectors, which might prevent the vehicle from starting or cause it to lose thrust while on the road. On the road.
