Meanwhile, there is virtually no consistent project implementation strategy.
According to top management level sources who recently left the company, “it has become the only topic that Mark is willing to talk regarding”. According to them, the company talks a lot regarding the new specifics and is actively promoting the teams involved in the creation of the metaverse. At the same time, many employees still have no idea regarding a specific plan of action.
Sources say there is “disorganization and anxiety” brewing in the company as people don’t seem to know what to do and what to work on, as there is still no coherent strategy. The company is reported to “goes through a defining period”but so far many questions remain unanswered, although many employees are enthusiastic.
As you know, the Facebook group* at one time was renamed to Meta*, largely due to the shift in the company’s focus on the creation of the metaverse. The company lost $10 billion last year on the Reality Labs division that built it. In addition, the company intends to spend no less this year and, possibly, for many years to come. Not so long ago, Zuckerberg stated that the metaverse is a long-term project, and it will be developed for a decade or more.
However, according to Business Insider, citing another source in the company, so far, apart from proclamations related to the future of the metaverse, there is virtually no visible evidence of successful activity.
