As you already know, the long-awaited event will take place on September 9th “It’s Glowtime”in which the Apple is expected to reveal to the world its newest line of iPhones, Apple Watches and AirPods.
As usual, we’ve compiled everything we can expect from the keynote, with the main rumors regarding both future products and their specifications.

Starting with the company’s flagship, this year we should have the launch of the line “iPhone 16”which, as in the last two years, should also have four models:

Moving on to what’s new in terms of features, all “iPhones 16” should feature the Action button, launched last year only with the iPhones 15 Pro/15 Pro Max to replace the traditional key that activates or deactivates Silent mode.
But the Pro models will not be without new features in this regard, as they should be the only ones to gain a “Capture button”, which will make it easier to capture photos and videos on the device — including with gestures to adjust the zoom, for example.
Speaking of cameras, the same sets as the current devices will be maintained, with three for the Pro models and two for the base models — with the difference that the dual camera module should be vertical, like what we had on the iPhone X.
As cameras should feature some basic changes in terms of aperture, although everything indicates that the ultra-wide lens of the Pro models should now have 48 megapixels of resolution. The devices should also be capable of recording 4K videos at a rate of 120 frames per second.
Still according to rumors involving the camera, we will probably see the arrival of the tetraprism lens for the smaller Pro model — which will allow it to have an optical zoom of up to 5x — and, who knows, the possibility of recording videos in 8K in the two models aimed at professionals.
Another new feature that should reach all models is the “A18” processor — which will mark a change in strategy in relation to what was adopted in the last two years by Apple, when the company started using a chip from the previous generation in the entry-level models.
In terms of power and battery, the rumor is that the more expensive models should have 40W fast charging and that specifically the Pro Max model’s battery could have batteries with higher energy density.
Finally, another recent rumor indicates that we will have news in terms of storage. In addition to the “iPhone 16 Pro Max”, the “iPhone 16 Pro” should also have storage memory starting at 256GB. In terms of RAM, in turn, the four devices in the line should have 8GB.
Apple Watch (10/X) blowing out candles
Ten years after the announcement of the first Apple Watch, Apple is expected to implement the biggest visual overhaul in the history of the device — so much so that some are betting that it will not be called “Apple Watch Series 10”, but rather “Apple Watch X”.
Among the new visual features expected are a thinner case and the arrival of two new sizes: 45mm and 49mm. For comparison, the Apple Watch Series 9 is sold with 41mm and 45mm cases, respectively.
Another possible novelty is the implementation of a magnetic attachment mechanism on the watch straps — although some CAD 1 images that supposedly would be of the device have cooled this rumor a little.
Jumping to the Apple Watch Ultrait shouldn’t feature many significant changes compared to the base model when it comes to design — although it could possibly feature a new color option for its case. Apple could also start using parts made with the help of 3D printers on the clock.
Another new feature — this one, expected to arrive on both the Apple Watch Ultra and the “Apple Watch Series 10/X” — should be support for sleep apnea detectionsomething that could work similarly to the irregular/low heart rate and low blood saturation alerts and will possibly be part of the new app Vitals.
In addition, both devices will also be able to feature improved sensors for electrocardiogram (ECG) and heart rate, which will provide more accurate data and unprecedented metrics — a novelty that may be accompanied by a new algorithm for the Health app (Health) for the processing of such data.
Apple could also surprise with the launch of a third generation of Apple Watch SE — especially if the company wants to maintain the biennial update cycle for the entry-level device. Speaking of this product, rumors say that it could get a plastic case (more affordable) with more color options.
What’s new in the AirPods line
Another thing that should show up will be new AirPods. Apple is expected to revamp its entry-level line, which could feature two models from the same generation.
If Apple currently sells the 2nd generation AirPods alongside the 3rd generation ones, the 4th generation AirPods should have a more advanced model to replace the current one and a more entry-level one (who knows, “AirPods SE”) to take the place of the older one.
Preparing for what could be the “biggest AirPods launch in history,” Apple is expected to include active noise cancellation for the first time in a non-Pro model, as well as speakers integrated into the Find My app (Find My) in the case.
New accessories
As usual, Apple is also expected to launch a new line of accessories especially for the new products launched, which should include cases for iPhones, straps for the Apple Watch, MagSafe accessories, among others.
While silicone accessories are pretty much a given, there has been a lot of talk about a possible discontinuation of accessories made with FineWoven fabric, which were launched last year to replace leather ones.

The targets of countless complaints from users, they have been gradually disappearing from Apple stores. It is not known for sure whether Apple will keep them, launch a new type of fabric or simply stick with plastic, since the return of leather is quite unlikely.
What no should arrive now?
Although it is the most important event for Apple, the “It’s Glowtime” It probably won’t be the last one on the company’s calendar for this year (at least if the same procedure as in previous years is followed).
In view of this, some other products scheduled to be launched later this year should only reach stores at an event that should take place between October and November:
- Macs with the M4 chip: although Macs have already been launched at the iPhone event in the past, this year the first computers with the M4 chip (more precisely the MacBook Pro, the Mac mini and the iMac) should only arrive at a future event;
- Third-generation AirPods Pro: While the base models will get a refresh in September, the new AirPods Pro are yet to see the light of day. While they could be launched at the October event, they’ll likely be released next year (or not).
- AirPods Max: Although it has been rumored at some point this year, it seems unlikely that Apple will announce an update to the AirPods Max at this event. According to recent information from journalist Mark GurmanApple continues to work on a second generation with new color options and a USB-C port instead of Lightning.
- HomePod: Another thing that won’t be arriving soon are new HomePods — including a model that Apple is reportedly preparing that would feature a screen similar to that of an iPad.
- New iPad mini: The seventh generation of the smaller iPad model does not appear among the main rumors for the next event — although, as we recently reported, the possibility of it being launched later this year is not so remote.
