Die Presse: Your current biopic Father Stu tells the spiritual journey of the American boxer, football player and teacher Stuart Long, who found his calling in the priesthood following a motorcycle accident. You also tried different careers before your film career. Did you find what you were looking for?
Mark Wahlberg: I searched long and hard for my calling and worked hard on myself. My childhood was difficult. I was born into an area where violence, gangs and drugs were the order of the day. I know the feeling of being written off and I got a second chance. When I have an idea, it fuels my ambition. I was convinced that I had found my calling in film and built the brand and a company. But I mightn’t let go of the question of what I should do with the success.
