PRESENTER and actress Marissa Anita became a voice actor in the Hollywood animated film entitled Ozi: Voice of the Forest.
Through her personal X account @MarissaAnita, Marissa said she was involved in the making of the film Ozi: Voice of the Forest, produced by Leonardo DiCaprio. Of course, this is a source of pride for the film industry as well as the Indonesian people.
“Excited to finally announce a project produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, written by Keith Chapman, and directed by Tim Harper,” said Marissa, quoted Friday (12/7).
Marissa also explained her role as the voice actor of the character Kirani. The 41-year-old will join other stars, namely Donald Sutherland, Djimon Hounsou, Laura Dern, Amandla Stenberg, Josh Whitehouse, and others.
“I play Kirani, Ozi’s foster mother, in the film Ozi: Voice of Forest. Coming to theaters on August 16, 2024,” said Marissa.
Quoted from Deadline, Ozi tells the story of a teenage orangutan looking for his parents. He became an orphan following his forest home burned down. The film was inspired by deforestation in the Indonesian rainforest. (Z-1)
