Obviously, Mario Tremblay left no one indifferent. He had (and he still has) the gift of making people react by his intensity and his way of doing things…
And that’s why he is seen as one of the greats in Quebec in the world of hockey. So much for his career as a player, coach and panellist at the Sports Network.
The announcement of his departure was a bit unexpected, but good. This evening, in the Antechamber, a tribute will be paid to him as he will be accompanied by Guy Carbonneau, Vincent Damphousse, Benoit Brunet, Gaston Therrien and Luc Bellemarre.
We have often seen Mario Tremblay on the Antechamber set alongside the names I have just mentioned, and it is fitting that his friends be there for his last career show. It might be quite emotional thank you…
And it might make for a nasty good TV moment.
In the end, we will remember him for a long time to come and even if he leaves RDS to retire, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him. Because, passionate as he is…
I have a feeling we’ll hear it once in a while on the radio or something.
We must greet his departure in the right way. That said, I would like to personally congratulate him on his fine and long career…
And I’m going to miss seeing him debate any subject with the love he had for the game. It’s going to leave a hole, that’s for sure.
Prolongation
Let’s remember for all intents and purposes that Mario Tremblay has been working at RDS since 2010. It’s definitely going to be weird not seeing him on the air anymore.
