You are probably aware, especially if you have a Nintendo Switch and you like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, that the brand new DLC has just landed! On the program, no less than eight races expand the content of the game, bringing the total number of tracks to 64! However, some players have noticed an unexpected surprise on one of the old circuits.

A high-flying supermarket

Le Supermarché Coco is a track that first appeared in Mario Kart Wii. It is a large shopping center with its escalators and different levels. If it is appreciated by players, it is because it is often subject to reversals of situation. Indeed, it has several obstacles and it is not uncommon to be slowed down because of a bad choice. With its different branches and its perky atmosphere, it was for a long time one of the great classics of the Wii episode, before landing on Nintendo Switch! It was indeed part of the first wave of new DLCs planned for 2022 and 2023. And Nintendo took advantage of the launch of the new circuits to review one of the elements that had upset the fans.

A funny surprise!

While browsing the Coco Supermarket route, several users noticed that one thing had been changed… and not the least. Indeed, the course ends with a long straight line and a bend. In the original version, Miis tried to flatten the player by driving over them with their car and this might significantly impact the ranking of the race. However, on Nintendo Switch, the Miis were replaced by Shy Guys and the vehicles remained completely immobile, which did not help fans of Mario Kart 8. Well, that’s ancient history! Now, if you have the misfortune to get a little too close to their tires, they won’t hesitate to spin their car around to crush you like a pancake! Knowing that this straight line is just before the finish line, be careful when you start this route once more.
