Marine Le Pen: “People who have nothing to do in our country must go home”

Marine Le Pen began her campaign between the two towers with great fanfare. After a passage in the morning of France Inter this Tuesday morning, the candidate for the Elysée went to Normandy this followingnoon, where she held a press conference on the theme of democracy. She finally punctuated her day with an interview on the 8 p.m. newscast on TF1.

Questioned by Gilles Bouleau and Anne-Claire Coudray, the far-right candidate reaffirmed her ambition to seduce voters who are still undecided. “All those who did not vote Macron in the first round can find themselves in my candidacy“, said Le Pen.

The RN candidate first appealed to Mélenchon voters, emphasizing the importance of social security. “I would like to tell the voters of Jean-Luc Mélenchon that I have the most protective project when for five years, Emmanuel Macron has pursued a policy of harshness towards the poorest. And to insist: “Macron led a policy of deconstruction of our social protection system”.

Marine Le Pen then recalled that she wanted to restore importance to the referendum system, in order to give the French people a voice. “It is a way to repair the democracy damaged by Emmanuel Macron”she hammered.

The second round finalist then addressed the theme of pensions, a real bone of contention with her opponent. Unlike Macron, she does not want to push back the retirement age to 65. “Reaching retirement in good health is a social choice“, she justified, promising that the sum of the pensions would not drop.

“You have to give people time”

In terms of climate, Marine Le Pen has been cautious. The RN candidate pleaded for a “soft transition”, which does not put pressure on the poorest. “People have to be given time“, she explained. “First let people use their car if they can’t afford to do anything else“, she continued, while acknowledging that a transition to renewables was essential.

Marine Le Pen then reaffirmed her drastic immigration policy. “We need people who have nothing to do in our country to go home“, she hammered, pointing out the foreign criminals and delinquents who should be sent home.

Finally, the candidate for the Elysee Palace recalled that economic recovery had to go through more patriotism. “The best way to have a perfectly viable and balanced system is to recreate employment in our country. To do this, we must take measures of economic patriotism.”

We are dependent on everything in France”, lamented Marine Le Pen, who wants to regain true economic independence. “As soon as there is a grain of sand in the machine, we find ourselves almost at a standstill“, she finally regretted.
