A bone of contention is the song “Ah Thalassa”, between Marina Satti and a well-known composer, as a result of which it was even sent to court.
Composer Miltiadis Kassaras sent an out-of-court notice to Marina Satti and her record company for the song in question.
As revealed today (29.06.2024) by the show “Akoma dena veidas nitos” on Mega, Miltiadis Kassaras claims the authorship of the music in the song “Ah Thalassa”, which is included in Marina Satti’s new album.
The well-known lawyer Yiannis Nysirios, who legally represents the well-known composer, reported to Mega: “My client claims that the main theme of the song, the four notes that make it up, are identical in sound, as well as a part of chords, with the same title part of Miltiadis Kassaras”, said the lawyer characteristically.
“Actually, the composition is not a creation of Marina Satti, nor Lena Kitsopoulou, nor anyone else. It’s a blatant imitation of my own composition,” he says, among other things, in the extrajudicial sent to the record company.
“My client wants reality restored and we hope we don’t go to extremes. Mr. Kassaras is the son of Sarantis Kassaras, the pianist of Mikis Theodorakis, a great composer and conductor of great scope,” he said.
“We have an obligation to restore things,” said the well-known lawyer, while there is no official announcement from Marina Satti’s side.
