Marilyne Naaman at “The Voice”: surprising, as always
“I know it’s not easy to sing Dalida, adds Marilyne. When we pass the stages of a competition like The Voice, we try to present something new at each passage and we start first with the songs we like. But at this stage, I mainly wanted to highlight the interpretation. This song really represented my identity, my journey, and I was lucky to be supported by Zazie in my choices. She did a lot to convince the production, because she understood that I didn’t just want to sing but that I had something to say. The choice to use a chorus in Arabic was certainly risky, but it represented my identity which was present throughout the adventure and my universe which there was no point in distorting. »

I got off to a bad start, but immediately recovered. During my last visit, I no longer thought regarding these details. It doesn’t matter if I miss a note. The important thing is that I feel the song to reach the audience. It’s my only way. »
