The new management of SEPRORGS took office on Wednesday, January 3rd, with Marice Fronchetti as president, Luis Henrique Petkovicz as vice-president, Edgar Serrano as Financial director, Ederson Bastos as deputy Financial director, Marcus Sperb as Administrative director, and Rafael Krug as deputy administrative director. Furthermore, Vinycio de Correa Lunelli and José Carlos Zanetti take over as director and deputy director of Labor Relations, respectively.

Marice Fronchetti, new president of the entity, addressed significant challenges faced by the IT sector due to important changes at the end of 2023. She highlighted the change in payroll exemption rules and the approval of the tax reform, pointing to the increase in the tax burden as a concern for all business sectors. In this context, she highlighted the need to build solid paths, considering that regulation can mitigate some impacts.

The president also expressed her intention to analyze and reflect on the lessons learned in recent years, highlighting the importance of SEPRORGS in issues such as tax reform and payroll relief.

“Now, we will direct our attention to unifying forces and bringing together, contributing to awakening the awareness of the business class. We have relevant objectives, such as the regulation of state bills relating to the Sandbox and technological innovation, in addition to the regulation of projects with municipalities, with some already regulated, such as Porto Alegre, Canoas, Caxias and Santa Maria”, he added.

The new management faces an additional challenge with this year’s municipal elections, emphasizing the importance of choosing representatives who meet the demands of the IT sector. Marice expressed the desire to count on the support of the directors, vice-president and the entire SEPRORGS team, also mentioning service providers such as Lamachia Advogados, AGV, among others, as essential collaborators in structuring the entity.

Rafael Krug, who presided in the last administration, said: “We are ending a four-year administration that began in 2020. Of course, we did not count on the issue of the pandemic, which made us very worried, because we had to reinvent the union throughout this period and immediately we ended up digitalizing all our events, all our relationships with our associates”.

For him, once this part was over, SEPRORGS managed, in the last four years, to return to in-person events and increase the number of regional events. “We also managed, in record time, to approve some laws, mainly the laws regarding the Regulatory Sandbox in our own regions. So it was the work of the entire board involved. This increase in representation as a whole was very important for everyone. And we hope that the new president will continue the work we are doing, not only on the issue of the collective bargaining agreement, but also on legislative issues”, he concluded.

Esdras Moreira, Seprorgs Serra Regional Director, stated that he will continue his work, maintaining connections with other entities and seeking representation in the legislature. He mentioned the need to review some agendas, adapting to changes, and highlighted the intensification of connections in the Serra region with the inclusion of a new director for greater proximity to cities such as Caxias, Farroupilha, Bento Gonçalves, Flores da Cunha, among others.
