The Minister of Justice appointed by Javier Milei for his government, Mariano Cúneo Libaronastated tonight that the impeachment trial once morest the Supreme Court is “infamous“, following meeting with the members of the highest court.
“It was to harm them publicly, it is infamous. This has to end,” said Cúneo Libarona.
“The trial of the Court has no factual or legal framework. It is something illegitimate that tends to pressure and disturb the honorability of the judges without any basis,” he added in an interview with the channel All News (TN).

According to the future minister, the Court is “so good and prestigious” and he specified that during the libertarian’s mandate “it will be independent, free to make decisions, without pressure, without coercion.”
Likewise, he noted that the highest court will appear “without interference from third parties, as mandated by the rule of law.”
“It is something we look forward to with great anxiety in this country,” he remarked and continued: “I am going to make the greatest effort following 42 years of doing this to try to contribute to ensuring that we have the best possible justice.”

Cúneo Libarona recalled when Javier Milei contacted him to be part of his government and said that “the ideas” of the now president-elect were incredible: “I had a formal offer from the future president. It was incredible what he transmitted to me, the orders he gave me. And I shared a lot in terms of ideology, because the liberalism is not only economic. Libertarians had their application in law in a lot of norms that evolved into international treaties and conventions.”
In that sense, he pointed out that the starting point of the new government “is a question of ideological and personal communion” to “seek a better Argentina.”
