The Carnival Fashion street show took place on Saturday, March 9, impressing everyone with the amazing carnival images and creations giving the necessary carnival atmosphere to the pedestrian street of Riga Feraios. The participants presented their own look, with special style and inspiration.
One of the appearances we singled out is that of Marianiki Bania, the native fashion designer who, with the “Inferno” she created with a lot of effort and passion, managed – and rightly so – to attract attention.
The fashion designer Marianiki Bania told “P” the following:
«On Saturday March 9 the first Carnival Fashion Street Show took place in the center of Patras where I took part and i won a prize My creation is inspired by the scourge of the time, mental disorders with awareness to the public it represents. I believe that even today anything related to psychology is taboo and people are being targeted. I would like through it all to break down such stereotypes, to become more compassionate, kind and with more empathy for fellow human beings. Even one person identifying with the movement of my creation is a success for me. It took me a month to make it, it’s a whole structure to stand like a ball. Many thanks to the Carnival Jury who with their original idea for the Carnival Fashion Street Show gave me the opportunity to create and pass my own message through it! Many thanks to Dimitris Christodoulopoulos who captured this moment and entered a photo contest with my photo. Many thanks to Nicole Macri for flawlessness interview which we did on Thursday at radio Peloponnese 104.1 FM and the show Pelop Life. I hope it becomes an institution from now on, with much love for the Carnival of Patras!”.
