In an interview, the doctor ruled that more specific information regarding the operation of the IMSS-Well-being program be disclosed.

During the ceremony, the leader explained that there is a willingness to collaborate with institutions to improve the health of the population, but she called on state and federal authorities to report on the scope of said strategy.

The former federal Secretary of Health, and former rector of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), José Narro Robles, protested this new committee, made up of Bárcenas Hurtado, as well as the secretary Román Acevedo Barba; Adriana Salgado Arriaga, treasurer; Svetlana Tkachenko, in charge of public relations; Yolanda Chévez Baños, in the affiliation portfolio and Pablo Uriel Morales, in education, among others.

In an interview, Bárcenas Hurtado also noted that there are various shortcomings in the health sector, such as doctors and supplies, and recalled that current times impose new challenges in health, such as the covid-19 pandemic and other high-incidence diseases, such as cervical cancer, cardiovascular problems and diabetes, among others.

Likewise, on behalf of his union, he stated that they are not satisfied with Cuban doctors coming to work in Mexico, because there are Mexican specialists with excellent academic preparation to occupy those spaces.
