By decision of a judge, María Elizabeth “N” was linked to the process for her alleged responsibility in the femicide of Brenda Guadalupe Trinidad, the latter was a 24-year-old medical student at La Salle University.

María Elizabeth was arrested last Wednesday, October 4, and the first investigations indicate that she was a partner of the victim who fell from the 13th floor. After being captured, the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico reported that the captured woman had tried to divert the investigation.

And the woman now linked to the process would have told the authorities that Brenda Guadalupe jumped out of the building, where there was allegedly a party, voluntarily.

The woman was arrested at the Benito Juárez mayor’s office in CDMX

However, the authorities determined that it was a femicide because the tests carried out on the young woman’s body showed that before dying she suffered physical violence in actions such as struggles and scratches. Subsequently, María Elizabeth was located and arrested in the Benito Juárez mayor’s office in Mexico City.

In addition, Brenda Guadalupe also had scratches on both hands, the young woman tried to get away and as a result she hit a railing, fell from several stories high and died.

It was on Sunday, October 8, that during a hearing it was determined to link María Elizabeth “N” to the trial, who is currently being held in the Barrientos prison in Tlalnepantla. The judge in charge of the case heard the accusation by the Public Ministry, as well as the lawyers of the detained woman.

It was on May 14, 2022 that the two women were in a property located in Lomas Verdes in Naucalpan, State of Mexico. However, both argued and the woman now linked to the process would have pushed Brenda Guadalupe, which caused the student to fall and die.
