Caracas, Oct 28 (EFE).- Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado assured this Monday, three months after the presidential elections, that The fight continues to “collect” the “victory” which, he insists, was obtained by the candidate of the majority anti-Chavismo, -Plataforma Unitaria Democrático (PUD)-, Edmundo González Urrutia.

«We did it, we achieved it together, let’s keep it in mind every day, while we continue fighting to claim our victory. “Everyone knows it: that day Edmundo González won and Venezuela won,” the former deputy wrote on the social network X.

According to the National Electoral Council (CNE), Nicolás Maduro obtained 51.95% of the votes, compared to 43.18% for González Urrutia, with 96.87% of the minutes scrutinized, which since then the institution has not has been published, despite numerous calls for its disclosure made, even by governments allied with Chavismo, such as Brazil and Colombia.

The PUD points out that result as fraudulent, and to prove the victory that – it reiterates – its candidate obtained, it published on a website the “83.5% of the minutes” that it claims to have obtained on the day of the elections through people who They were witnesses and members of the table, which gave the victory to González Urrutia by 67%, compared to 30% for Maduro.

For its part, the ruling party considers that these records are false and also defends the validation of the result made by the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), controlled by magistrates related to Chavismo.

This Monday, Maduro celebrated three months of his controversial reelection, while expressing that his was a “resounding popular victory,” despite the questioning of the results inside and outside the country.

The president affirmed, through Telegram, that with joy and organization, the “popular power” expressed itself “forcefully” on July 28, when – he said – “peace triumphed.”
