The opposition candidate for Vente Venezuela, María Corina Machado, denounced this Thursday a new maneuver by the Nicolás Maduro regime with which it tries to sabotage his electoral campaign in the country.
This followingnoon, while the former parliamentarian was heading to Valle de La Pascua, in the state of Guárico, she ran into armed groups of the regime blocking the road to prevent her from reaching the place.
“We are entering from La Pascua and we find that the road is blocked, with armed, hooded individuals sent by the regime,” he began by saying in a video broadcast on social networks with which he sought to give visibility to these operations.
Machado pointed out that it is a dirty move that only exposes the nervousness of the ruling party
They are “blocking the road with sticks to prevent us from meeting the Venezuelans here, from Guárico, who want to vindicate the values that unite us: family, peace, freedom, Justice,” he added next.
The pre-candidate, one of the strongest candidates who will seek in the October elections to be the option of the opposition to face Chavismo in 2024, once more attacked Maduro and his followers and pointed out that it is a dirty move that only exposes the nervousness of the ruling party over the advance of dissidents in the country. On the contrary, she reaffirmed her fight and his commitment to the Venezuelan people.
“This is what these people have left. Those who feel defeated appeal to violence. It is the weapon, the instrument of those who appeal to oppression. This is why we rise up and, today with more strength than ever, we face and defeat this tyranny”, she firmly maintained.
Moments later, Vente Venezuela released another video showing the politician who finally managed to evade the blockade and reach Valle de La Pascua. There, she is seen walking alongside the people, who receive her with great joy and enthusiasm, and accompany her with flags.

Machado has been a target of the regime for many years and, in recent weeks, the persecution has only intensified.
On June 30, the dictatorship disqualified the candidate from holding any public office for 15 years, which, if she were to win the elections this October, would make it impossible for her to compete in 2024.

However, the leader of Vente Venezuela has continued with her campaign throughout the country, challenging the Venezuelan Executive, which has not stood idly by either.
Last week, the candidate – who must travel by land since airlines are prohibited from mounting her on their planes – was the victim of two attacks while on her campaign tours.
The first of these occurred on Friday and involved a group of pro-government militants who attacked his vehicle and threw objects in an attempt to prevent it from advancing in Catia la Mar.

The followers of politics, along with the La Guaira Police, made way for the car and prevented the violent from continuing their aggression.
The second incident took place the following day in Petare, Caracas. In this case, Machado denounced that hundreds of Venezuelans who attended the meeting were “threatened and intimidated by violent groups, people who come armed, aggressively, to intimidate society.”
While she continues with her trips and events, the politician has already begun to slide her first proposals in case she arrives at the Miraflores Palace.
On the one hand, he supported the idea of privatizing the PDVSA oil company and starting a wave of privatizations that would attract foreign investment with which to get the country out of the acute crisis in which it is mired, as well as an agreement to restructure Venezuela’s foreign debt.
