María Corina Machado assures that “fear is over” in Venezuela

María Corina Machado assured this Saturday, during a proselytizing event, that “fear is over” in the country, despite the fact that – she denounced – “repression is intensifying” as the presidential elections of July 28 approach.

«Here the fear is over, the fear is over«insisted the former deputy, before thousands of people, in an activity held in the city of Maturín, Monagas state, in support of the candidate of the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), Edmundo González Urrutia.

Machado thanked the public employees who, even “Being persecuted, they have raised their voices» and attend the events of the majority opposition, and promised that, «in the Government of Edmundo González Urrutia”, “there will be no persecution” or “revenge” and, instead, “the respect, security and quality of life that this regime has taken” from the workers will be guaranteed..

«We are going to put this country to production, (…) you are going to earn well by serving the State, and you will only be evaluated by your merits, not by your ideas. You will be respected for your ideas, rest assured“, held.

The opponent also expressed her gratitude to the owners of the vehicles and equipment used in the campaign events, who “have even risked having” their property taken away.

He denounced that, in “these last hours,” “the repression” by the administration of Nicolás Maduro – a candidate for re-election – has intensified, with “blockades” on the roads, arrests and “threats.”

«All this is the demonstration that they know that they have already lost, that they are lost, (…) we have already defeated this regime morally, we have already defeated this regime spiritually, (…) we have finally defeated this regime politically, because everyone knows that we are going to win«he stated.

In this sense, he maintained that Chavismo was “already defeated in the streets” and “defeated politically”, so “the defeat remains to be completed at the voting booths.”

«We are going to make all this energy become that unstoppable channel, in that avalanche that is going to leave on July 28, we are going to leave as early as everyone can (…) after voting, no one moves from the center, we We are going to stay around the voting centers until our victory is consolidated«Machado asked.

In these elections, in addition to González Urrutia and Maduro, eight other candidates with no real chance of victory are competing for the Presidency, according to the polls.
