Opposition leader María Corina Machado announced a global mobilization for September 28 at 12:00 noon to commemorate what she called “two months of victory.”
“On July 28 we devastated and we have the evidence. We have the minutes. We win. Together we are going to unite our families, to live in freedom, we made history and the world knows it. Now is the time to defend our victory,” Machado said through a video posted on his social networks.
The call will take place two months after the presidential elections to continue with the call for the recognition of Edmundo González as president-elect.
Machado added that the mobilization seeks to activate the world with the cause of Venezuela and for the government to accept “the truth,” when referring to the electoral results that, according to the electoral records published by the Command with Venezuelathey give the victory to González.
Details of the “Great World Protest”
Through the social networks of the Command with Venezuela, the instructions for attendees of the “Great global protest” called for September 28 were known:
– Meet in a safe place with the chosen group or “comandito”
– Bring printed electoral records from the voting center to read the results aloud
– Listen to the audio message that María Corina Machado will send that day
– To close the day, sing the National Anthem.
In addition, the Command with Venezuela also suggested that those attending the rally take a photo or video of the meeting and publish it on social networks with the hashtags: #YoMeSumo and #VzlaLibre.

Previous global mobilization
On August 28, a global protest was held under the slogan “Acta kills sentence”an activity that was carried out one month after the presidential elections in Venezuela.
The citizens attended the concentration points marked by the Command with Venezuela and showed the printouts of the minutes corresponding to their voting tables, as well as Venezuelan flags and banners in support of Edmundo González or in rejection of the ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) that validated the results announced by the National Electoral Council (CNE), which declared Nicolás Maduro as the winner.
In Venezuela, rallies were also held in various parts of the country to support the call made by María Corina Machado.
Los Protesters gathered in Caracas and in other cities in the country such as Maturín (Monagas), Puerto Ordaz (Bolívar), Valencia (Carabobo) and Maracay (Aragua).
In the state of Zulia, protesters with flags and printed minutes gathered in front of the Basilica of Our Lady of Chiquinquirá in Maracaibo.
Venezuelans also joined the call in Delta Amacuro, Mérida, Nueva Esparta and Sucre to show their discontent with the post-electoral situation in the country.
