UNIVERSAL ORLANDO’S MARDI GRAS 2023 CELEBRATION HAS BEGUN AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS FLORIDA, FEATURING GLOBAL CARNIVAL-INSPIRED CUISINE, A DAZZLING PARADE, LIVE MUSIC AND TONS OF BEADS

Access to Universal’s Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval is included with admission to Universal Studios Florida

Guests of Universal Orlando Resort can go beyond the bayou and party during Universal’s Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval through April 16.

The fan-favorite event returns to Universal Studios Florida with a dazzling parade, delicious cuisine inspired by global carnival celebrations and live entertainment on select nights.

This year’s festivities, which take place every day until April 16, invite visitors to:

  • Catch eight live performances by music greats like Sean Paul, Maren Morris and the Goo Goo Dolls at the Music Plaza Stage on select nights (see full lineup below).
  • Collect necklaces during the impressive “Mythical Realms of Mardi Gras” parade.
  • This year there are six new floats inspired by fantastic creatures like dragons, phoenixes, unicorns and more.
  • Also traditional New Orleans-inspired Universal floats, like the iconic double-decker Riverboat and the nearly 50-foot-long King Gator.

In addition, visitors can be part of the party by getting on a float to throw necklaces at the spectators.

This experience is available with the purchase of the new Mardi Gras Float Ride and Dine Experiencewhich includes a 3-course meal at one of four participating restaurants and a reservation to ride one of the Mardi Gras parade floats.

And delectable cuisine is a must at this colorful party, so you can also sample the flavors of worldwide Carnival celebrations, from New Orleans to Brazil, Belgium and more, with an extensive menu of more than 50 dishes.

Plus, guests can enjoy more for less with the purchase of the Universal Orlando Resort Food & Beverage Card by paying $65 for a $75 card, and Universal Orlando Passholders have exclusive access to a $150 card for just $120.

Shop for the latest Mardi Gras merchandise at this year’s Mardi Gras Tribute Shop, located in a brand new space in the Hollywood area.

The highly immersive store is themed around an international celebration of jazz, leading visitors through the traditional alleyways of New Orleans and finally to a secret bar where the Mardi Gras festivities continue.

Continue the festivities at Universal CityWalk with special Mardi Gras menu items at select restaurants, including a new Masquerade Milkshake at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen, plus food kiosks located throughout the complex with delicious items that deliver the flavor from the Mediterranean, from the Caribbean Islands and popular cuisine from Mardi Gras.

Additionally, guests can experience a Mardi Gras following party at Pat O’Brien’s on select nights and enjoy special events at the Red Coconut Club, which will transform into the Cursed Coconut Club for the Mardi Gras season.

Florida residents can take advantage of a new offer to join in on the festivities that gives them two days of free admission to Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure with the purchase of a 2-day, 2-park ticket (valid for use through June 29). January 2023; blackout dates apply), and for just $25 more, they can add one day of admission to Universal’s Volcano Bay.
