The 25-year-old striker’s contract expired at the end of the season, as did those of Diogo Dalot, Fred and Luke Shaw, who also extended with the Red Devils. Rashford was trained at United’s academy and was part of the England squad that reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar this month.
“We want to develop and support these players and we want them to stay in our fold,” United manager Erik Ten Hag said. Portugal right-back Dalot, also 25, joined the 20-time English champions in 2018, England left-back Shaw, 27, arrived four years earlier and Brazilian midfielder Fred, who turns 30 in March, left Shakhtar Donetsk four seasons ago.
Ten Hag’s side resume the Premier League following the World Cup break on Tuesday by hosting Nottingham Forest.
