After seven seasons in Färjestad, the future is now uncertain for Marcus “Lilliz” Nilsson.

The star was teased in a noticeable way just over three weeks ago and also has an expiring contract with Färjestad, which has led to speculation about his future gaining momentum.

Given that his contract expires in a few months, several SHL clubs have announced their interest in signing the 32-year-old for next season.

– It’s fun that many teams are interested, it would be worse if no team had gotten in touch. Now many have done it, which is good, says Nilsson himself Värmlands Folkblad.

He himself wants to remain in Färjestad, but believes that he has not received a contract offer from the club.

– I love playing here in Färjestad and of course want to stay, but I have no idea how it will turn out, says the native of Värmland.

According to Värmlands Folkblad are several SHL teams chasing Nilsson’s signature and the newspaper states that Malmö are the ones who show the most interest in the star.
