On his Instagram profile, Marcos “Pupu” Mossello makes his love for the quartet clear from his bio. There, at the top of his profile, he recalls that he has spent 30 years broadcasting at our regional rhythm, either as an announcer / orchestra entertainer (as he did with Ulises) or as a radio host.
Of course, to this official presentation, this native of Oncativo has added “TV host”, since a few days ago he premiered his own program on Canal 10who has called The Great Previous and which he considers an open space for all; for consecrated, for emerging… For those who communicate with the production, in short.
“This is good to lung. Here there is no businessman, here there is no radio, here there is no page in between. And it’s not that I think it’s right or wrong if that happened; I’m just saying that in La Gran Previa we do everything on our own. We are music workers from Córdoba ”, says Mossello at a moment of his exchange with VOS.
“Pupú” describe a The Great Previous “as a program that has bands and soloists that play completely live”.
“It is an hour of program that comes out on Channel 10 and on its YouTube channel. It is also broadcast on Facebook and Instagram. It goes on Fridays from 11:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and is repeated on Sundays at 4:00 p.m., he later pointed out.
-Are you now a television host who has had to moderate the adrenaline of the dance announcer?
-Actually, a little of everything, right? I try to drive without everything being fine up there, everything to the tune and to the rhythm of the quartet. I want there to be a moment to talk to the artists, to qualify the music that is coming. At that time they promote their next presentations and I ask what I consider necessary. Then, yes, comes the part where the dances are agitated, where “Pupú” comes out, with 30 years of experience animating the dances.
– Is the program a bet of you and your colleagues?
-Completely. Beyond the fact that I have been hired to host La Gran Previa, together with María Laura and Catriel Allende we do absolutely everything. We have direct contact with the artists, we propose a good sound to play live and we manage the networks so that their time on the program is well disseminated. Both María Laura and Catriel and I have been doing this for many years and each one with her contribution contributes to the possibility that all the bands and all the quartet soloists can visit us. Artists and bands from different places such as San Juan, Mendoza, Tucumán, Buenos Aires and obviously also from the interior of Córdoba have even communicated. The idea here is to open the door to everyone.
“Pupú” insists that “the invitation is for everyone, that the door is open to everyone.”
“Afterwards, the artists and the bands decide. We understand that due to time and schedule issues, many cannot be on the program; However, I insist, they can come whenever they want, we are waiting for them, ”he reinforces.

The Great Preview, just to go on a caravan?
-The idea of the program is to go agitating the public so that later it leaves or so that it stays to have fun at home?
-And in itself, the name says it all. Whenever it is La Gran Previa to go out dancing, to a dance, to a bowling alley, to a get together with friends… Or La Gran Previa to go to sleep… Let each one choose, this is not like in a pandemic, when we all stayed at home. Therefore, we leave it to your discretion. And since the show is an hour long, it really flies by and leaves the adrenaline pumping. Afterwards, we don’t take charge of the choice, right? (laughs).
-Finally and aside, were you surprised by Ulises’s announcement to pause for an indefinite period?
-I’m not really surprised. I, who worked with him for almost 10 years, can say that throughout that time he always took a moment for himself, with the idea of resting, of gaining strength once more. Honestly, in that period we had five or six years without stopping. The last summer season that I had to do with Ulises was in 2019; in those January and February we did 64 dances. Tremendous! It was a Wednesday at Molino Rojo in Carlos Paz, from where we went to Villa Gesell to perform on Thursday and everything continued in Mar del Plata on Friday, in Córdoba on Saturday and in San Juan or Tucumán on Sunday. Really tremendous.
With his heart in hand and with absolute sincerity, Mossello believes that perhaps “his body, his mind, his soul need that rest.”
“Yes, I think that he is very young and that he still has a lot to give. But we are facing a personal decision that must be respected. Ulises wants to enjoy life like a normal person ”, he expands.
-You’ll make it?
-He will never be a normal person, ever. And less now with this stoppage: people are going to want to see it once more with more desire. You will want to hear it, touch it, look at it, hear from it. He is a tremendous diamond Ulysses.
