Verratti affirms, he might still have brought to PSG
If Luis Enrique did not count on him, Marco Verratti is convinced that he might have helped PSG. “I know what I am capable of, I still trained for two months with them. In the last days, there were even players who practically begged me to stay. It’s the greatest recognition, from people who see you every day, know what you can give. The same for all the coaches I had: when they left Paris, they wanted me to go play for their team,” the midfielder said for the sports daily.

Criticized for his lifestyle, Marco Verratti spoke regarding his subject which was discussed for a long time during his Parisian adventure. “It’s my way of being. For me, football has always been a game. Afterwards, I have a life. The pleasures I had were going to a restaurant, having a glass of wine when there was no training. There are players who hide, I have always assumed responsibility, in life as well as on the pitch.”
“I think people like me a little bit for that too: they see that I’m normal. I knew the times when I might eat with my friends, go out clubbing when I was younger. I spent eleven years here, it’s normal that people came across me more than others. I’m not going to stay at home every day. I have always been very professional.
If all the coaches you have had, in Paris or in the selection, like you – and not for my personality, we are paid to perform well -, if you are still a starter in a club which has the possibility of buying the biggest players and recruits competitors every year, with coaches who don’t give gifts, it’s the best recognition, right? I have never been a minute late for training in eleven years,” concluded Marco Verratti for the team.
