20th Annual Turkey Drop: A Community Effort to Provide Holiday Meals
On Nov. 18, a remarkable assembly of over 200 volunteers came together to pack an astonishing 6,000-plus holiday meal boxes, each containing a frozen turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and a pumpkin pie, sufficient to feed a family of four to six, as part of the Capital Wealth Advisors (CWA) Turkey Drop with St. Matthew’s House.
The distribution of these meal boxes began earlier this week, ensuring that thousands of families in need across Southwest Florida will enjoy a warm and nourishing holiday meal, thanks to the tireless efforts of volunteers, community partners, and CWA team members.
“I’m deeply grateful to our team, community partners, and volunteers, who worked in harmony to unpack over 72,000 food items and assemble the meal boxes in a matter of hours,” said CWA President and CEO William Beynon, who founded the Turkey Drop 20 years ago with his wife Nena, highlighting the event’s profound impact on the community.
