Marcin Gortat was no longer exactly the kind of kingpin franchises were vying for. The Pole did not find a contract in the NBA despite his nice CV and he announced his retirement from the professional world on Sunday to the media of his country TVP. Gortat, 35, played 12 years in the NBA, first as a backup for Dwight Howard at the Orlando Magic, then in three other franchises where his qualities frequently allowed him to start for three years at the Phoenix Suns, then five. years at the Washington Wizards, with whom he played three times in the playoffs. His last adventure with the Los Angeles Clippers, who did not keep him and cut him in February 2019, will have been less convincing.
Marcin Gortat has already received messages from former teammates on the networks to salute his professionalism and his personality.
