On the morning of May 10, the honeymoon of Paraguayan prosecutor Marcelo Pecci and his wife, Claudia Aguilera, turned into a nightmare.

The couple was in the Colombian Caribbean celebrating their union and had just announced on social networks that they would be parents, when two gunmen on a jet ski shot Pecci.

“He’s the one who fired the gun. That dark-skinned man, one meter seventy-eight, who has the hat, of a very thin physical complexion, but with very marked muscles (she described) extended his arm directly towards the prosecutor Marcelo Pecci, “said the reporter, according to his conversation with Aguilera.

The portrait the woman is talking regarding is the one drawn by the authorities in Colombia. General Jorge Luis Vargas was the one who shared the image on their social networks and confirmed that a reward of 2,000 million pesos is offered for whoever delivers information on those involved in the crime.

The woman also spoke with her colleague regarding how she experienced the moment of murder. She explained that that morning, since it was their last day of their honeymoon, they spent some time on the beach. Just when Marcelo Pecci returned from walking along the seashore, he was approached by the men on the jet ski.

«When 11:00 am arrived from Colombia, he had stopped as if to walk on the sea a little bit. Upon returning, he shook the dirt off him with the towel and, at that moment, the attack occurred. Everything was very fast, “said Aguilera’s colleague.

She turns her gaze back to the man who was fleeing -because it was a bit difficult for her to understand everything that was happening- and the people tried in one way or another to react because she heard that many said: ‘Catch them, catch them’, and for That’s why the man with the gun fired once more to cover the escape,” he said.

According to Aguilar’s testimony, everything happened in a fraction of 13 to 15 minutes. And he stressed that: “They (the assassins) went straight to him, they did not look at me,” even though he was a very short distance from Pecci.
