After his departure from the radio Miter mornings, this 2022 was heading to be a year away from the microphone for Marcelo Longobardi. However, that ultimately did not happen. “When one makes such a dramatic decision – to put it in some way – things happen, like the appearance of CNN Radio; I wanted to finish my career there, it became the most stimulating job of my entire career”, commented the journalist in the presentation that this signal made in a hotel in Recoleta to formalize that announcement. In the same schedule that he had at the Grupo Clarín station, Longobardi resumes his position in front of a microphone on CNN Radio. He is accompanied by Guillermo Kohan, Nicolás Singer, Romina Aldana and, from Paris, as an international analyst, Juan Dillon.

This presentation was hosted by Cynthia Hudson, senior vice president and general director of CNN en Español and Hispanic Strategy for CNN, Felipe de Stefani, general manager of Warner Media Argentina; Marcelo González, of CNN Argentina, and as an Argentine partner of that North American signal, the multifaceted political operator Guillermo Seita. There it was also detailed that Longobardi will also continue on television with the conduct of a series of interviews.

A busy cocktail. The event was led by the journalist Juan Pablo Varsky, some politicians were present such as Horacio Rodriguez Larreta, Juan Schiare-tti, Omar Perotti, Gerardo Zamora, Martín Llaryora, Jorge Macri, José Luis Giusti, Juan Zabaleta. Also, from the judicial field Ricardo Lorenzetti, Carlos Mahiques, Marcela de Langhe; and also the rector of the University of Buenos Aires, Alberto Barbieri, who just hours before had received the news that this public university had once once more been chosen as the best in Argentina in the ranking of international academic entities; or Daniel Angelici, who in a couple of weeks launches his winery in Buenos Aires; or Zhanna Chuchman, ambassador of Ukraine in Argentina, Amador Sánchez Rico, ambassador of the European Union, and Kristy Hayes, ambassador of the United Kingdom who will host the local celebration of the British queen’s 95th birthday at the end of April. And of course several businessmen friends of Longobardi such as Jorge Fontevecchia, and some members of the journalistic staff of CNN en Español and CNN Radio such as journalists María Laura Santillán, Ernesto Tenembaum, María O’Donnell, Carmen Aristegui, among others.
