Marcelo Gallardo’s River Plate standings and schedule with the focus on the Copa Libertadores

Marcelo Gallardo’s second spell at River Plate is underway: the 1-1 draw at the Estadio Mas Monumental against leader Huracán on matchday 10 of the Professional League marked the starting point of a process that is fully focused on the Copa Libertadores.

Currently, Millonario is in ninth place in the League with 15 points, five behind Globo, which leads the table alone, something that could change this Sunday if Vélez (17 points) beats Banfield at the Florencio Sola at 5:30 p.m. and climbs to the top of the table.

It should be noted that Núñez’s team is no longer in the Copa Argentina after having been eliminated in the penalty shootout against Temperley in the round of 32 when the team was still under the command of Martín Demichelis.
