Captain Marcel Guilavogui was once more at the helm this Tuesday, July 11, 2023, to continue to deliver what he considers to be his new part of “truth” in the case of September 28, 2009.
On the account of this second day, the former close friend of captain Moussa Dadis Camara remained straight in his boots. He denies any involvement in the massacre that occurred at the Conakry stadium in 2009. For him, Dadis is the only culprit for the death of a hundred Guineans.
“I didn’t kill, hurt or rape at the stadium. I am not such a man. The man you have in front of you is a saviour. The whole class of 2001 knows me. I am a disciplined soldier. I’ll be clear, it’s up to President Dadis to take us here, he’s the one who organized this massacre. I have suffered too much in that now”.
Marcel Guilavogui deplores “the disorder” which characterized the management of the 2009 transition. He persists and shows that the massacre of Guineans was well and truly planned by President Dadis.
Asked what justifies the involvement of the red berets in this massacre, the former CNDD officer replies: “It is by their attitude and their way of dressing because at the moment it is there was too much chaos, even if you are a policeman you can wear a red beret. I myself pointed this out to Captain Toumba, I said that there is too much mess at the presidency”.
Continuing, Marcel confirms having seen Colonel Moussa Tiegboro Camara at the September 28 stadium. According to him, when the latter took the leaders in his vehicle for the Pasteur clinic, he followed the convoy to their destination with the sole aim of arresting Tiegboro.
“When he came down I waited for him and told him that what you are doing is not good. You led President Dadis in error, you spoiled power, one of his elements pointed his gun at me. That’s when I pulled out a grenade to defend myself,” he testified.
In addition to the red berets, Marcel also said civilians sporting cowries were also at the stadium.
