Marc Stickler (38) did it: He conquered Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895 meters, on a mountain bike. Now the Tennengau native is happy and completely satisfied.
The project was more than demanding: Stickler had been meticulously preparing for the tour since June 2023 – including training sessions on the roller trainer and outdoors. The underwater and wildlife photographer wanted to use the campaign to raise donations for the Anna Mollel School in the city of Arusha (Tanzania).
Its founder, a Maasai, is committed to the care and inclusion of children with disabilities. Donations: Marc Stickler “Engilang’et School Arusha & Laureus” (AT 60 3500 0000 2604 1889). Stickler is a trained biologist. He inspired many people with his pictures at lectures and made it into the circle of Leica ambassadors.
