Gresini Racing RACER Marc Marquez won the Australian GP after ending a fierce drama against Prima Pramac racer, Jorge Martin, in the main race of the 17th MotoGP 2024 series at the Philip Island Circuit, Australia on Sunday.

Marc Marquez was the fastest with a time of 39 minutes and 47.7 seconds. Jorge Martin who started the race from pole position immediately shot to the front to secure the position. Behind Martin
there were Marco Bezzechi and Francesco Bagnaia who finished second and third respectively.

Meanwhile, Marc Marquez, who started the race in second place, experienced a bad start and dropped to seventh position. The race lasted four laps, Bezzechi had to drop to third position after being hit with a long lap penalty. His position was immediately taken by Pecco who continued to compete to follow Martin who was in the leading position.

In this position, Baby Alien was able to crawl to fourth position after taking a maneuver to overtake Brad Binder who had gone wide.

It didn’t take long for Marquez to hunt down Martin and Pecco at the front. Entering the sixth lap, Marquez’s maneuver took its toll. This time Morbidelli was unable to maintain third position after being overtaken by Marquez.

The competition became very tight when Martin was unable to widen the distance from the chasing Bagnaia and Marquez who continued to follow behind. Entering the 12th lap, Bagnaia maneuvered to take the leading position from Martin, but the racer nicknamed Martinator was still able to maintain the leading position from Pecco’s pursuit.

In fact, Bagnaia lost out when Marquez took advantage of his negligence when entering turn 4 and took second place. Bagnaia was then overwhelmed when he took second place again from Marquez who continued to chase Martin.

The competition at the front then changed, leaving only Martin and Marquez. Entering the 25th lap, Marquez and Martin were involved in a fierce clash after they both overtook each other to secure the leading position.

Baby Alien then launched a maneuver with two laps remaining in the race, causing Martin to drop to second place. Marquez was then able to maintain his leading position to secure his third win of the season.

Meanwhile, Martin had to settle for second place on the podium after finishing with a record of +0.997. Then on the third podium was Bagnaia who finished with a time difference of +10.100 seconds.
