The singer wanted to support his son in a difficult ordeal.
Marc Lavoine is generally very discreet regarding his private life. Nevertheless, the singer indulged in a few confidences in a recent interview for the “La Leçon” podcast. He revealed that he now lives with his 36-year-old son Simon in an apartment in Paris. The reason for this roommate? The singer didn’t want to leave his son alone following the death of his mother, Denise Pascale, who died of cancer in 2017.

Simon, who lived alone in the United States, was very affected by the death of his mother, to the point of worrying Marc Lavoine who wanted at all costs to be there for him. He then offered to come and live with him in Paris. “I was like, ‘It’s good for you, come back.’ I mightn’t get him to come back and then I said to him: ‘Come on, it’s good for me’. I only changed one word in my sentence, and that changed everything. He came back and today I live with him in Paris”said Marc Lavoine.
During this interview, the singer also returned to his meeting with Simon’s mother, with whom he remained for almost ten years. He thus confided to having had a real crush on Denise Pascale following having crossed her in a casting in the 70s. “I miss this thing and the young woman misses it too, but I remembered in which agency she was. She was a model and she had shocked me”. Marc Lavoine then gave his phone number to Denise Pascale’s agency to invite him out. “I missed the casting, but I succeeded in part of my life”he concluded.
