“Many come to haggle. But prices won’t drop in February.”

Stays that do not exceed 4 days, fewer public and tourists who travel without reservations willing to fight prices. Those continue to be the slogans that set the pulse so far this summer.

However, although this portrays how complex this season presents itself, the providers maintained that there will be no modifications in the rates, and that, to think regarding promotions, they are only targeting those who contract their accommodation for a minimum of 7 days.

“Prices have not changed and will continue like this at least until the end of February,” said Carlos Rivas, one of the leaders of the non-hoteliers association. This entity brings together the owners of apartments and complexes, which is the one that contributes the most beds to the destination.

“The percentage of people who book is still low. Those usually come for a week. But the stays that are coming out the most are those of 3 or 4 days. And they are hired by the public from Alto Valle, from Neuquén or from nearby places that come without an agreed place, prepared to go around and haggle,” said the merchant.

“We encourage long stays. Because prices begin to drop only following 7 days. From there, nights are given away, or anything that invites you to stay for more than a week” Rivas assured.

For now, then, all rates remain at the prices released before the start of 2023. Namely: Staying for a typical family (a couple and two children) costs $25,000 per day in an apartment located in front of the sea, with basic services (wifi, air conditioning, bed linen and towels). If, on the other hand, the house is a few blocks from the beach, it costs $20,000 per day, and if it is in the periphery $16,000 per day.

Prices in the hotel category will also be maintained, although, in this case, their costs will rise for the extra-long Carnival holiday, which will be at the end of February. For example a quadruple room without ocean view in a downtown hotel is still available for $27,600 per day. That sum -which includes breakfast- will then go to $29,100 per day. In the case of a triple matrimonial suite, with ocean view and balcony, the price continues at $29,500 per day and will go up to $31,000 in Carnival.

In terms of camping, everything will remain the same. Installing is $1000 per person and children 6 years and older pay the same as adults, while 5 years and younger camp at no cost. To that sum must be added amounts that are only delivered once, upon entry.

By case, $1,000 is paid for the placement of the tent, while those who have a booth pay $1,500 and $2,000 in the case of a motorhome. For those prices, you can access campsites with basic services such as a barbecue area, hot water, bathrooms, and a recreation area with a television.
