Manuel Turizo’s secret: music with love and a tropical rhythm that calls to the hips

Bogotá, Aug 19 (EFE).- Manuel Turizo, one of the most recognized Colombian artists in the world, continues to accumulate hits, with a new album just around the corner and his most recent song ‘Enhorabuena’, confesses what is the secret to remain so close to his public: making music with love and continuing to demonstrate versatility with tropical rhythms that are impossible to listen to without the hips moving to the rhythm.

This is what he said in an interview with EFE in Bogotá, where he arrives after a successful summer of European touring in which he was able to live and enjoy with his fans at festivals and concerts. “In Europe, summer is summer, everyone is on the coasts, walking or relaxing, so there are too many festivals,” he explains about the good time he had there.

Turizo (Montería, 2000) rose to fame at just 16 years old and, since then, accompanied by his brother Julián on this musical journey, he has managed to position himself as one of the most recognized Colombian artists inside and outside his country.

But his return to Colombia is more than justified: “I’m back now to finish the album” that he will release this year, explains the artist.

The new thing

“‘De lunes a lunes’ is the music of what this album is going to be, from then on until ‘Enhorabuena’ you can see a little bit of what it will be,” explains Turizo in reference to the song that was released at the end of last year with Grupo Frontera, in which the Colombian dares to do a regional Mexican song, and his most recent song, a merengue that sings about heartbreak.

With ‘Congratulations’, the Colombian singer achieved a Guinness Record: the audio that was used simultaneously the most times on the TikTok social network in one hour.

“I like everything, people already know,” jokes the artist, without giving any further clues about his new work, in which, however, he does not rule out the possibility of a ballad and affirms that there will be collaborations.

Just a year ago, she released her album ‘2000’, which included worldwide hits such as ‘El Merengue’, a collaboration with DJ Marshmello, and ‘La Bachata’, one of the most listened to Latin songs of last year.

But now comes a “different stage” that Turizo defines as: “living it.” “I simply live it and enjoy what I do, in my own way, as they say,” adds the singer.

“When you put love into something and do it with your heart and really dedicate time to it, good results come, and that’s what I do every day, trying to get the best out of music and trying to discover what’s the best I can give and give it to my audience,” concludes the interpreter of ‘La Nota’ about his secret to accumulating so many hits and staying on top of the musical wave.
