Manuel Huerta announces opening of medicine and nursing careers in universities

The federal delegate of the Ministry of Welfare in Veracruz, Manuel Huerta Thief of Guevarapointed out that in the Wellness Universities that are missing, it will be sought that there are Medicine and Nursing careers with the aim of covering the shortages of these professionals in the country.

He recalled that there are 100,000 doctors in this area that are needed and that is why today they have to resort to foreign professionals, such as the seven Cuban specialists who arrived in Chicontepec to work at the IMSS Welfare there.

“We are going to produce them and bring them from wherever they are needed for this program of Doctors and medicines. Right now several municipalities have already applied, those of Ixhuatlán, Coscomatepec, but more recently Tierra Blanca, Zongolica and Ixtaczoquitlán have already applied for land to build there a Benito Juárez university,” he said.

Huerta Ladrón de Guevara pointed out that the corresponding procedures are already being carried out to start and thus give spaces to young people who want to pursue a professional education.

He added that there are other municipalities in other parts of the entity that have also offered land to build Benito Juárez universities, such as Coyutla, in the Papantla area, and Tihuatlán, to name a few.

It is worth mentioning that during the inauguration event of the Banco Bienestar branch in Río Blanco, the federal delegate mentioned to the citizens present that in the Benito Juárez universities that are built in Zongolica and Ixtaczoquitlán it will be seen that there are nursing and medicine careers.

He mentioned that 55 universities are yet to be built and they will have to be one of the careers that are lacking in the country today.

He added that the one in Río Blanco is falling behind, but he has already called on Mayor Ricardo Pérez to pay attention to this and make it happen.
