From 6 May it is possible to access the “Welcome to the city” announcement of the city of Mantua, aimed at attracting new residents through a monthly contribution of 150 euros (for 12 months) as a rent bonus and a total investment of 200 thousand euros. The call will remain open until resources are exhausted. On the one hand, the measure aims to bring new residents to the city and on the other it aims to stimulate the recovery by private individuals of the numerous vacant houses in the city.
Who can apply?
Singles and families who decide to take up residence in Mantua by moving to rented accommodation on the free market or within the Social Housing Service. Young people under 36 can also participate, including those already residing in Mantua, but in another accommodation, who decide to leave their family of origin for the first time to create their own household. Only for them the monthly contribution of 150 euros will be extended to 24 months instead of 12.
What are the requirements?
The main requirements for the applicant to benefit from the measure are to have an ISEE between 9,500 and 40,000 for those under 36, while for all others between 14,000 and 40,000 euros, Italian or EU citizenship or to be legally resident , to have the ownership of a rental contract registered on a date following the publication of the notice, with a duration of at least 1 year and with a monthly rent of at least €350, and to receive income from work or, if the case , from pension already at the time of application.
How to participate in the tender?
The notice is available at the counter and applications will be registered based on the chronological order of receipt. It will be possible to submit a request starting from 8.30 am on May 6th by completing an online form on the municipality’s website, subject to digital identification. Complete requests that meet all the requirements will receive notification of admission to the contribution with a formal note sent to the email address indicated by the applicant.
Social housing
The municipality has also launched the “Abitare Borgochiesanuova” tender, as part of the Pinqua Project financed with 9 million euros from the Pnrr. For those who have an income from work, and have a family ISEE between 14,000 and 40,000 euros, 67 new apartments, owned by the municipality, in the Borgo Chiesanuova district are made available for rent: they will be available in two tranches, starting from September and December 2024. Here too the assignment request can be submitted from 09.00 on 6 May 2024 to 12.00 on 28 June 2024
