Mansour Faye giving his opinion on the departure of Macky Sall declares: “Only the power of God is eternal”
The Magal of Daroul Mouhty, celebrating the reunion between Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba and his brother Mame Thierno Birahim Mbacké, had very political overtones. Mansour Faye, Minister of Land Transport and Opening Up, accompanied by his colleagues Samba Ndiobène Kâ and Modou Diagne Fada, led the government delegation.
Facing the Caliph’s spokesperson, Serigne Bassirou Anta Niang, and the family of Borom Darou, Mansour Faye launched a vibrant appeal for divine blessing for President Macky Sall and national tranquility. Referring to the presidential assessment as the end of Macky Sall’s mandate approaches, the Minister of Transport emphatically recalled that “only the power of God is eternal”. In his speech, reports Le Quotidien, he praised the achievements of the head of state, Macky Sall, during his 12 years of reign, citing in particular the significant impact of the projects in Touba. “President Macky Sall announced the end of his mandate on April 2. He has made remarkable achievements in all sectors. Ila Touba is a perfect illustration of this. “I cannot list his record. We ask for prayers for peace in Senegal, for a unity of hearts and minds to protect us from external spirits,” insisted the Minister of Infrastructure, Land Transport and Opening Up.
