Investigations by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Giza Security Directorate, headed by Major General Muhammad al-Sharqawi, revealed the circumstances of the death of a young man whose body was found under his residence in the Warraq neighborhood.

The beginning dates back to a notification received by Brigadier General Muhammad Salama, the warden of the Al-Warraq Police Department, from the Police Rescue Department, that a body had been found under a property in the Tanash area, in mysterious circumstances.

Brigadier General Hani Shaarawy, head of the Northern Investigations, directed the investigation men to quickly move to the location of the communication to find out its circumstances. The body of Muhammad Ragab Nabawy, 34 years old, was found, fully clothed, with separate fractures and external bleeding, following he fell from the seventh floor on Omar Abdel Aziz Street, Corniche El Nile.

The investigations of Lieutenant Colonel Hani Mandour, the head of the investigations, and his assistants, revealed that the thirty-year-old had lost his life by jumping from the balcony because he was going through a psychological crisis and there was no criminal suspicion in the death.

The body was transferred to the morgue of Al-Warraq Central Hospital, at the disposal of the Public Prosecution, to authorize the burial following issuing the necessary report.

The state is working to provide support for mental patients through more than one hotline to help those who have psychological problems or desire to commit suicide, most notably the hotline of the General Secretariat for Mental Health, at the Ministry of Health and Population, to receive psychological inquiries and psychological support, and support those wishing to commit suicide, through a number 08008880700, 0220816831, all day long.

The National Council for Mental Health has also allocated a hotline to receive psychological inquiries: 20818102. The Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa affirmed that suicide is a major sin and a crime once morest the soul and Sharia, and the person who commits suicide is not an infidel, and the guilt of this crime should not be minimized, as well as not finding justifications and creating a state of sympathy for this. Rather, it is treated as a mental illness that can be treated through specialists.
