Manor’s Restructuring Plan: Modernizing Fashion Spaces and Embracing Digitization

2023-08-28 20:20:49

As part of a restructuring, Manor wants to cut 80 jobs in central services. A social plan has been put in place, in agreement with the unions, the department store chain said on Monday.

Manor wants to rely on retirements and natural fluctuations in staffing to carry out the reorganization within the headquarters, it said in a statement on Monday.

The measures will be gradually implemented by the end of 2024.

Modernization of spaces dedicated to fashion

At the heart of the new strategy, deployed by the new Managing Director Roland Armbruster, in place for six months, are in particular digitization, the beauty and perfumery segment as well as food products, for which the emphasis must be placed on the proximity of suppliers and the “homemade”.

In twelve of its main stores, the spaces dedicated to fashion must also be modernized.

A focus on digitization

“The continuation of digitalization will also be a key element of our success, particularly at the company’s headquarters with simpler, more agile and more efficient processes and organization”, said Roland Armbruster, quoted in the press release.

A new version of the mobile application should see the light of day by the end of the year.
