Manor sells customer the wrong hand luggage size

Each airline is free to decide what maximum size it can set for hand luggage. It is often a maximum of 55 x 40 x 20 centimeters. In the meantime, however, many airlines are also among them – especially low-cost airlines.

In order to avoid unnecessary additional costs, a “Ktipp” reader bought a new soft-shell case from Manor. The deciding factor for the purchase was the sign in front of it with the inscription: “New hand luggage size for Easyjet, without additional costs.”

But as it turned out at the airport, the masses were wrong. An Easyjet employee explained to the reader that her suitcase was too thick for hand luggage. Whereupon she had to check in her luggage followingwards. Cost: 60 francs!

“Ktipp” confronted Manor with the story. However, the department store continued to assert that the carry-on suitcase corresponded to the dimensions of Easyjet. However, one should not overload the suitcase.

Nevertheless, the department store reimbursed the customer for the suitcase and the additional costs incurred.
